Overview
If a user completes AML/CTF training on the BGL Learning Channel, Firm Verify automatically shows that completion on their profile, you don't need to enter it manually. This article explains what appears, where to find it, and how it behaves if the BGL Learning Channel is temporarily unavailable.

| Then select the Personnel tab. |
Click a user's name to open their profile. Any BGL Learning Channel training for that user appears in the training panel on their profile screen.
What shows on a profile
Firm Verify checks for training updates each time a user's profile is viewed. Any BGL Learning Channel training matched to that user appears automatically, showing:
- Training name
- Completion date (once finished)
- Provider (BGL Learning Channel)
A training that's been started but not yet finished shows an In Progress status. It updates to Complete as soon as the BGL Learning Channel confirms the training is done.

- Understanding Designated Services
- Initial Customer Due Diligence
- Ongoing Customer Due Diligence
- Enhanced Customer Due Diligence
Only training relevant to Firm Verify is shown; achievements from other BGL products aren't included. More courses are planned to be added over time.
View-only
This training data comes directly from the BGL Learning Channel, so it's view-only within Firm Verify and can't be edited or deleted.
From the profile screen, click Add Training +. The Add Training screen will appear.
Key Personnel and the BGL Learning Channel
Key Personnel don't have login access to the BGL Learning Channel, so they won't have any training to show from this source. If you need to record training for a Key Personnel record, you can still add it manually.

Click a Key Personnel record's name to open their profile.
From the Key Personnel's profile, select Add Training +
Add Training Screen

Manually added trainings and duplicates
Note
If you've already added a training manually that also appears from the BGL Learning Channel, both will show. Firm Verify won't merge or remove either one. You're free to manually add a training again even if it duplicates one already shown from the BGL Learning Channel.
If the BGL Learning Channel can't be reached
What to expect
If the connection to the BGL Learning Channel fails or times out when a profile is viewed, Firm Verify falls back to the most recently retrieved training data for that user rather than showing a blank or incorrect panel. You'll see a clear indication that current data couldn't be retrieved.
If no data has ever been successfully retrieved for that user, the panel simply shows no BGL Learning Channel trainings until the next successful check. Any trainings you've added manually will still display as normal.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit or remove a training that's shown from the BGL Learning Channel?
No. Training sourced from the BGL Learning Channel is view-only in Firm Verify. If you need to record something different, add a separate training entry manually. It will show alongside the BGL Learning Channel entry rather than replacing it.
Why doesn't a Key Personnel record show any BGL Learning Channel training?
Key Personnel don't have login access to the BGL Learning Channel, so there's no training activity for Firm Verify to retrieve for them.
Why does a training still show as In Progress?
Firm Verify reflects whatever status the BGL Learning Channel returns. Once the course is marked complete there, it will update to Completed the next time the profile is viewed.
What happens if I add a training manually that's also completed on the BGL Learning Channel?
Both entries will show. Firm Verify doesn't merge or remove duplicates between manually added trainings and BGL Learning Channel trainings.
